Celebrities and Notable People Opposed to the Death Penalty

An original art project by Scott Langley, inspired by Robert Rosenheck's "LOVE" project. This campaign is designed to develop a collection of photographs depicting outspoken celebrities and other notable people who oppose the death penalty, by tying them all together by holding the same "I Oppose the Death Penalty!" sign. Musicians, actors, actresses, authors, politicians and others have a history of using their public positions to speak out on a variety of issues - including the death penalty.

Those pictured here include: Kurt Vonnegut, Martin Sheen, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, The Indigo Girls, Arlo Guthrie, Phil Donahue, Elvis Costello, Danny Glover, Steve Earle, Howard Zinn, Angela Davis, Mike Farrell, Ani Difranco, Arun Gandhi, David Strathairn, Michael Dukakis, Michael Moore, Sister Helen Prejean, Dan Berrigan, Dar Williams, David Kacynski, Eve Ensler, Ken Wiwa, Richard Shindell, Hugo Bedau, Martha Hennessey, Sam Reese Sheppard, Jerry Givens, Allen Ault,Rev.
